What's Sunday Funday without chips to much on?

New chips to munch on!
Well, my Miami Dolphins may have lost today but we had some winners in the snack department. I tried two new chips, Pirate Booty's Potato Flyers and The Mediterranean Food Company's Baked Lentil Chips.

First up, Pirate Booty's Potato Flyers: If you like Pirate's Booty then you'll definitely like these. I'm constantly noshing on one flavor or another of the original snack. The Flyer's taste very much like Pirate's Booty except these are made of potato instead of corn/rice. They are still sorta puffy and just kind of fun to eat. I had the BBQ flavor and I think I actually like this version better than the Pirate's Booty BBQ flavor.

The ingredients include: Potato Ingredients (Potato Flour, Potato Starch), Sunflower Oil, Rice Flour, Evaporated Cane Syrup, Dextrose, Salt, Paprika, Tomato Powder, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Black Pepper, All Natural Spices, Smoked Paprika, Citric Acid.

Next, I tried Mediterranean Snack Food Co. Baked Lentil Chips. I had never seen these in the grocery store before so of course, as soon as I see "gluten free" labeled on the bag I snatched them up. I served these with a 7 layer dip instead of corn chips. The chips were a huge hit.

According to their site, these are "the first snack to deliver the great taste and healthy benefits of lentils, adzuki, and garbanzo beans. Made from a select Mediterranean recipe, this savory all natural snack is made with 100% gluten free ingredients, has 4 grams of protein, and 3 grams of fiber & fat in each crunchy serving. " And a serving is 22 chips!! Tastes good and hefty serving sizes! I'll definitely be purchasing these again.

I think it's absolutely fantastic!!! Did you see the article on the homepage about your vending machines? So happy to see companies taking steps forward to making a change. It's so important.
